Chief Peter Bartlett and Sharon Crowley, Executive Director of the Northeastern Massachusetts Law Enforcement Council (NEMLEC) Foundation, are pleased to announce that a $5,000 donation was made to Cops For Kids With Cancer during Public Safety Day in Dracut on July 21.
In turn, the non-profit organization that supports families battling cancer made $5,000 donations to two Dracut families to support them as they battle cancer.
Edward McNelley, of Cops For Kids With Cancer, presented funds to 1-year-old Maev Kingphilavanh and her parents, Ashley Oquendo and Sonny Kingphilavanh, and to 2-year-old Gabriel Cezar and his parents, Samantha Rocha and Raphael Cezar.
“Cops For Kids With Cancer is a great organization and we are proud to be able to support their important work,” said Director Crowley. “It is our great privilege to support this organization and the many families to whom it provides vital support.”
“We were happy to be able to support these two beautiful families, who are facing difficult battles,” said Chief Bartlett. “The Dracut Police Department is grateful for the generosity of our community, the NEMLEC Foundation, and Cops For Kids With Cancer.”
