DRACUT — Police Chief Peter Bartlett reports that the Dracut Police and Fire Departments responded to a serious motor vehicle crash early Saturday morning.
At approximately 2:30 a.m. Dracut Police received a 911 call for a reported rollover crash near the intersection of Lakeview Avenue and Doyle Avenue. Upon arrival, first responders observed a utility pole with significant damage and a motor vehicle that had rolled onto its side. Police officers located a juvenile male lying in the roadway with significant trauma.
Dracut Police and Fire personnel rendered emergency medical services to the juvenile, who is believed to have been the driver of the vehicle.
The juvenile was transported to a local hospital by Trinity EMS with serious injuries.
First responders also pulled a juvenile female from the vehicle and located a second juvenile female leaning against the vehicle. Both were treated at the scene by Dracut Fire and Trinity EMS, and transported to a local hospital with serious injuries that are not believed to be life threatening.
The crash is under investigation by Dracut Police with the assistance of the Massachusetts State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction (CARS) Team.
