Chief Peter Bartlett reports that the Dracut Police Department is investigating a home invasion that occurred on Arkansas Drive on Thursday night.
On Thursday, Nov. 2, at about 8 p.m., Dracut Police were called to a home in the 0 block of Arkansas Drive for a report of a home invasion.
A preliminary investigation determined that two armed men forced their way inside the home and restrained a resident. A second resident who returned home during the incident was pistol-whipped, causing a severe laceration to the head.
Both suspects, described only as males wearing masks and all dark clothing, then ran down Arkansas Drive toward Bouchard Avenue.
The resident who was pistol-whipped was treated at the scene and then taken to a local hospital for treatment of wounds that did not appear to be life-threatening. The other resident was treated at the scene for less severe injuries.
The investigation into this incident remains active and ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to call Dracut Police at 978-957-2123.
