DRACUT POLICE, ASSISTED BY NEMLEC SWAT, SERVE WARRANT ON DRACUT ADDRESS
Dracut MA: On December 15, 2017 at approximately 0700am the Dracut Police Department along with NEMLEC SWAT served an arrest warrant and a search warrant at 23 Witham St in Dracut. Upon arrival at the location NEMLEC team members encountered the wanted subject outside the residence and he was taken into custody without incident. The subject and nature of the charges are not being released at this time based on the nature if the criminal complaint involved. This is no longer an ongoing incident and the public can be assured that there is no longer any danger regarding this location or those involved. The subject taken into custody will appear in Lowell District Court on Monday December 18 2017.
The Dracut Police Department appreciates the assistance from the NEMLEC team. “This was a potential dangerous situation that came to a close safely because of the relationship this community has with NEMLEC,” Chief Bartlett said. “Our Officers, Detectives and the public remained safe due to the professionalism exhibited here today and I am proud of the good work that was done here” Said Bartlett.
