DRACUT POLICE RESPOND TO CAR CRASHED INTO HOUSE
Dracut MA: On December 08 2017 at approximately 1238 PM the Dracut Police Department was dispatched to 137 Brook Street for a motor vehicle crash. Upon arrival at the location Officer Quinn discovered a car had driven into the residence at that address. While conducting the investigation Officer Quinn was able to determine the homeowner and owner of the vehicle involved, was in the vehicle and believed it was in drive when in fact the car was in reverse. Once the owner depressed the accelerator the car backed over the porch and into the house. No one was injured in the crash although the vehicle sustained heavy damage to the rear and the house sustained heavy damage to the walls and interior.
The Dracut Fire department responded as well as the Dracut Building Inspector and determined the house to be sound but will need extensive repairs.
